Sail is an international video collaboration created during the spring and summer months of 2020 during the height of the pandemic. The work is by Anna Dora Dorna, Nicola Pianzola, and Cecilia Seaward and was filmed in Bologna, Italy and upstate New York. Sail explores the isolation of lockdown, the struggle to create during a time of collective grief, as well as the uncertainty of returning to “normal.”

Sacred Geometry began as an improvisational reflection on grief, then grew to encompass a wider range of emotions and experiences. What came to surface was a visual representation of the body as a metaphysical conduit of energy, devoid of temporal and spatial demarcations, a body moving intuitively and finding comfort through symmetry and ancient symbols.
